Six individuals have been apprehended in connection with an assault on Senator Isah Echocho, who represents Kogi East in the National Assembly. According to Kogi State Police spokesperson William Aya, the attack occurred on Tuesday, January 9, in Lokoja, the state capital, following Senator Echocho’s visit to Governor Yahaya Bello. The Senator, accompanied by other officials, was assaulted after a meeting with the governor. The arrested suspects will be prosecuted to deter others. The police urge the public to stay law-abiding and cooperate with security agencies in combating criminal activities in the state.
