Toyin Bamidele, a female Higher National Diploma student in Food Technology at the Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State, was brutally murdered by unidentified individuals at her rented apartment outside the campus on Thursday, November 16.

Confirming the tragic incident, Mrs. Folake Oyinloye, the acting head of the institution’s Public Relations Unit, issued a statement condemning the heinous act, emphasizing its rarity in the polytechnic community. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, prompting ongoing investigations by relevant security agencies to uncover the identity of the perpetrators. The management expresses deep sorrow over her untimely demise, describing it as an irreparable loss to the entire Polytechnic community.

The institution extends heartfelt condolences to Toyin Bamidele’s family, friends, and the Department of Food Technology, urging anyone with pertinent information about the incident to come forward to assist the security agencies in their inquiries.
