Veteran Nollywood actor and filmmaker Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has reportedly died after battling stage-four cancer.

His daughter, Kira Hassan, confirmed his death in an emotional Instagram Live session on Sunday, saying she could not believe that her father was gone.

Last week, Kira had revealed that the actor was battling a terminal illness and appealed for assistance in finding a hospital that could admit him for treatment.

She clarified that the family was not seeking financial donations but needed connections to a medical facility willing to take him in, explaining that several hospitals they approached had reportedly declined because of the advanced stage of his illness.

Ogogo’s reported death comes about two months before his 67th birthday.
