The National Sports Commission (NSC) has reportedly introduced a performance-based reward scheme for the Super Falcons, promising the team $5,000 for every goal scored during the group stage of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
According to Daily Post, NSC Chairman Shehu Dikko announced the incentive on Tuesday during a visit to the team’s camp at the Marriott Hotel in Rabat, Morocco.
The initiative is designed to motivate the defending champions as they begin their quest to retain the continental title.
Under the reward package, the Super Falcons will earn $5,000 for each goal scored in the group stage, with reports indicating that the incentives will increase if the team advances to the knockout rounds.
The announcement comes ahead of Justine Madugu’s side’s opening match against Malawi at the Al Madina Stadium in Rabat.
The fixture will mark the first-ever senior international meeting between Nigeria and Malawi.
