United States President Donald Trump has announced the cancellation of planned military strikes against Iran, citing significant progress in high-level diplomatic discussions involving Tehran and several key regional partners.

In a statement posted on Truth Social on Thursday, Trump said he ordered the suspension of the military operation after negotiations with the Iranian government reached the highest levels of leadership and received the necessary approvals.

According to the US president, the framework and final details of a proposed agreement have been endorsed by all parties involved, including the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Turkey, Pakistan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan and Egypt.

Trump, however, noted that a naval blockade on Iran would remain in effect until the agreement is formally concluded and signed.

He added that the date and location for the signing ceremony would be announced soon.

“Based on the fact that discussions with the Islamic Republic of Iran have been brought to the highest level of Iranian leadership and approved, I have, as President of the United States of America, cancelled the scheduled strikes and bombings against Iran this evening,” Trump wrote.

He further stated: “Discussions and final points have been approved, both in concept and in great detail, by all parties involved, including the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Turkey, Pakistan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt and others. The naval blockade will remain in full force and effect until this transaction is finalized. The time and place of the signing will be announced shortly.”
