Last night, a Nigerian woman was rescued from a suicide attempt after consuming bleach. According to a pharmacist who intervened, the young lady took this drastic action because her boyfriend ended their relationship.
“Choosing suicide as a response to a breakup should never be considered an option!!!
At approximately 8:30 pm last night, a woman who ingested bleach in an attempt to end her life due to her boyfriend’s decision to break up was brought in. I administered activated charcoal to counteract the effects before referring her to the hospital for additional treatment.
Remember, suicide should never be seen as a solution.”
