Suspected cultists have carried out a fatal attack in Egbeh community within Ubie kingdom, situated in Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State. The assailants, purportedly affiliated with a figure known as General ‘Danger,’ infiltrated the community on Monday, December 4, 2023, and seized three victims, including a woman. The lifeless bodies of the three abducted individuals were later discovered along the Egbeh and Ebiriba Road area of Ubie Kingdom on the same day.
According to sources within the community, the two male victims had previously engaged in a dispute with a woman identified as the mother of General ‘Danger.’ Allegedly, this altercation led to a vow of retaliation from the woman. General Danger is reportedly the leader of the Iceland cult group operating in the region.
Further information indicates that the lady abducted alongside the two males had a romantic relationship with one of them, while the mother of General ‘Danger’ fled the community. Following the abduction, chaos erupted in the community as residents sounded the alarm, prompting a search for the missing individuals.
“We started searching to determine where the assailants took the three people. Gunshots were heard between Egbeh and Ebiriba Road. Eventually, community members discovered the bodies of the three individuals that these criminals had killed,” explained a source familiar with the situation.
