American singer Lil Nas X was absent from a Los Angeles court hearing on September 15 after entering an inpatient treatment program.
According to the Daily Mail, the 26-year-old rapper, born Montero Lamar Hill, was scheduled for a pre-trial hearing following his arrest last month related to a public nude incident. However, his lawyers informed the court that he is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed facility out of state.
Judge Shellie Samuels allowed Lil Nas X to remain out of state as long as he continues his inpatient care, but warned that if his treatment shifts to outpatient, the court will reassess his release conditions.
His next court appearance is set for November 18.
Lil Nas X was arrested in August after reportedly stripping naked on a Los Angeles street and allegedly assaulting police officers. Shortly after, he described his time in custody as “terrifying” but assured fans he would be okay.
