Alhaja Seliat Raji, sister to philanthropist and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Barrister Ahmed Raji, fell victim to gunmen who abducted her from her residence in Iseyin, Oyo State. The incident occurred around 8pm on Thursday evening, May 16, 2024. Tragically, the masked gunmen also fatally attacked the security guard stationed at the house before proceeding to the sitting room where Alhaja Seliat Raji was watching television. Eyewitnesses recounted that the armed kidnappers arrived at the scene on a motorcycle but departed in their victim’s Lexus car. A member of the Raji family, confirming the abduction, revealed that the kidnappers have contacted the SAN, outlining their demands. The specific ransom amount, however, has not been disclosed, causing heightened anxiety among family members and associates.
