
Nigeria’s headline inflation rate fell to 15.43 percent in July 2026, down from 15.91 percent recorded in June, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
The NBS disclosed this in its Consumer Price Index and inflation report released on Monday, August 17.
The report also showed that headline inflation stood at 1.57 percent on a month-on-month basis in July, while food inflation was recorded at 5.56 percent.
The development comes after the Central Bank of Nigeria’s Monetary Policy Committee retained the country’s benchmark interest rate at 26.50 percent in July.
