Burna Boy, Davido, Ayra Starr, Wizkid, and Tyla Nominated for 2026 GRAMMY Awards

The 2026 GRAMMY Awards nominations have been announced, and Nigerian artists are making a strong impact. Davido, Omah Lay, Burna Boy, Ayra Starr, and Wizkid all secured nods for the 68th Annual GRAMMY Awards.

Davido and Omah Lay’s collaboration, “With You,” is nominated in the Best African Music Performance category, alongside Burna Boy’s “Love” and Ayra Starr featuring Wizkid on “Gimme Dat.” Other nominees in this category include Uganda’s Eddy Kenzo and Mehran Matin for “Hope & Love”, and South Africa’s Tyla for “PUSH 2 START.”

Burna Boy also earned a nomination in the Best Global Music Album category for his project “No Sign of Weakness,” competing with music legends like Senegal’s Youssou N’Dour (Eclairer le Monde – Light the World), Benin’s Angélique Kidjo (Jerusalema), and India’s Anoushka Shankar (Chapter III: We Return to Light).

The awards ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, February 1, 2026, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, celebrating recordings released between August 31, 2024, and August 30, 2025. This year also introduces two new GRAMMY categories: Best Traditional Country Album and Best Album Cover.
