João Félix has joined Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr after completing a move to the Saudi Pro League club in a deal that could be worth up to £43.7 million (€50m).
The agreement includes an initial fee of £26.2 million (€30m), with a further £17.5 million (€20m) in performance-based add-ons.
Félix, 25, had been in talks to return to his former club Benfica, but Al Nassr swooped in to hijack the deal and have now secured his signature as they continue to strengthen their squad in a bid to win the Saudi Pro League, having also extended Ronaldo’s contract.
The Portuguese forward re-joined Chelsea permanently last summer from Atlético Madrid for £46.3 million following a loan spell at Stamford Bridge during the second half of the 2022–23 season.
Last season, Félix made 20 appearances for Chelsea across all competitions, scoring seven goals. Despite not fully establishing himself during either of his spells at the club, Chelsea have nearly recouped their investment through this latest transfer.
Chelsea also received £5 million from his loan move to AC Milan in February, where he scored three goals in 19 appearances.
So far this summer, Chelsea have generated £135.7 million through player sales, bringing their net spend for the current transfer window to £82.3 million.
