President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to depart for Paris, France, today, April 2, for a brief working visit.
In a statement released by Presidential media aide, Bayo Onanuga, the President will use the visit to evaluate his administration’s midterm performance and assess key milestones.
Onanuga also noted that the President plans to review the progress of ongoing reforms and engage in strategic planning ahead of his administration’s second anniversary.
“This period of reflection will guide plans to strengthen ongoing reforms and accelerate national development priorities for the coming year. Recent economic achievements, such as the Central Bank of Nigeria’s report of a significant increase in net foreign exchange reserves to $23.11 billion—up from $3.99 billion in 2023—underscore the President’s commitment to these reforms,” Onanuga stated. “While abroad, President Tinubu will remain actively engaged with his team and continue overseeing governance activities.”
Onanuga confirmed that the President is expected to return to Nigeria in about two weeks.
