“Real Madrid Reportedly Reach Agreement with Carlo Ancelotti on Exit Terms”

Carlo Ancelotti and Real Madrid have reportedly agreed on the terms of his departure, signaling the end of the Italian manager’s tenure at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Ancelotti, whose contract with the club runs until 2026, is expected to leave at the end of the current season, with the possibility of his exit being announced following Sunday’s El Clásico against Barcelona. Discussions between Ancelotti and the club had been ongoing, with negotiations centered around settling the remaining salary on his contract, according to The Athletic.

Long seen as a transitional figure, Ancelotti has faced increasing speculation over his future, especially with Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso widely tipped as his likely successor. Other potential candidates reportedly under consideration include club legends Raúl González and Álvaro Arbeloa.

Earlier linked with the Brazil national team job for the 2026 World Cup, Ancelotti is now said to have declined that offer. Instead, he is reportedly weighing a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia, where he has been offered a deal worth €50 million net (£42 million)—a figure that may be hard to resist.

Despite mounting pressure this season, Ancelotti remains one of the most decorated managers in world football. Across two stints at Real Madrid, he has won 15 major trophies, including three UEFA Champions League titles and two La Liga championships.
