The highly anticipated showdown between WBC champion, Tyson Fury, and former UFC heavyweight champion, Francis Ngannou, who is making his professional boxing debut, is scheduled for tonight, October 28, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It has been unveiled that the British boxer is in line for a remarkable financial windfall from this bout.

This match will see two heavyweight greats from their respective sports collide over 10 rounds. Tyson Fury, also known as ‘The Gypsy King,’ enters the ring with two recent TKO victories in the past 18 months. His first victory was in April of the previous year when he defeated Dillian Whyte by a sixth-round technical knockout, followed by his win in December 2022 against Derek Chisora in the 10th round.

In late September, it was announced that an agreement had been reached for a bout between Fury and Oleksandr Usyk after his match with Ngannou. Meanwhile, ‘The Predator,’ Ngannou, secured the UFC heavyweight championship in March 2021 by defeating Stipe Miocic at UFC 260 with a KO in the second round. In January of the following year, he successfully defended his title against Ciryl Gane at UFC 270.

A year later, Ngannou transitioned from the UFC to the Professional Fighters League, allowing him to venture into boxing as well. According to several UK reports, Tyson Fury has inked a deal with Saudi officials that will see him earn a staggering £165 million for his fight against Ngannou and two subsequent clashes with Oleksandr Usyk.

For his initial bout against Ngannou, The Gypsy King will receive £65 million, with a further £50 million earmarked for each of his two fights against Usyk. The first of these bouts could take place on December 23.

Notably, Tyson Fury’s WBC heavyweight world title will not be on the line when he faces Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia tonight
