Dangote raises petrol price by N75, to N1,275 per litre

The Dangote Refinery has raised the price of petrol, increasing its ex-depot rate for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) by N75 per litre, while also suspending product sales due to a disruption in its Proforma Invoice process.

Data from Petroleumprice.ng, along with confirmation from a refinery official on Wednesday, showed that the loading price for petrol rose from N1,200 to N1,275 per litre. Meanwhile, coastal supply prices climbed to N1,215 per litre.

The adjustment follows recent operational changes and is already impacting the downstream petroleum market.

A refinery official confirmed the development, stating, “Yes, the increase of PMS to N1,275 per litre is accurate. Coastal price is N1,215.”

Another source revealed that the refinery halted its Proforma Invoice entry process around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, disrupting normal supply scheduling within its loading system. The suspension reportedly led to an immediate توقف in the sale of both petrol and Automotive Gas Oil.

The combined effect of the price hike and supply disruption has sparked concern among traders and marketers, many of whom are bracing for higher depot costs and a likely increase in pump prices across the country.
