Ciara and Rihanna were recently seen together on the red carpet at last month’s MET Gala, where Ciara was spotted touching Rihanna’s baby bump—sparking speculation that their long-standing feud is finally over.
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Ciara was asked about the rumored reconciliation. She expressed nothing but love for Rihanna, emphasizing that they have both moved past their past disagreements and are now focused on bigger responsibilities—namely motherhood.
“We were babies, now we’re mamas doing our thing, it’s all love,” Ciara told host Andy Cohen.
The drama between the two singers dates back to 2011 when Ciara described Rihanna as unfriendly at a party. At the time, Ciara admitted she was disappointed, especially since she had always admired Rihanna’s style. The back-and-forth escalated on social media, with Rihanna tweeting a sarcastic jab, followed by Ciara firing back, and Rihanna responding once again.
Fast forward to today: Rihanna is a mother of two with a third child on the way, while Ciara has four kids of her own. Their recent encounter at the MET Gala marked a turning point, as Ciara revealed they had a meaningful conversation that allowed them to put the past behind them.
“We got to have a good conversation. She’s now having her third baby, which is so cool—shout out to all the mamas out here doing everything and making it happen,” Ciara said. “CiCi’s got a lot of love for RiRi.”
With maturity and motherhood bringing them closer, it seems the once-heated rivalry has finally cooled into mutual respect and warmth.
