Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East), Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), have arrested two individuals suspected of supplying logistics and drugs to Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists in Ngala Local Government Area of Borno State.

The arrests were made during a series of stop-and-search and counter-terrorism operations conducted along the Gamboru–Wulgo road as part of Operation Desert Sanity IV. On October 2, troops from the 24 Task Force Brigade, working alongside members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and local hunters, apprehended 18-year-old Abba Wakil. He was found in possession of two jerricans of condemned engine oil and 100 quick patch items, believed to be intended for delivery to terrorists.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Wakil, a native of Wulgo Village in Ngala LGA, was en route to supply the items to insurgents in the area.

In a separate operation, troops also arrested another suspect, 18-year-old Bunu Ali, who was caught with 110 quantities of cannabis sativa. He was allegedly attempting to deliver the illicit drugs to terrorist elements.

Both suspects are currently in military custody and undergoing further investigation.
